Carmen Frischkorn
Director of Compliance and Client Services, CACO, CAPO, CADS, CAC
Carmen Frischkorn, Director of Compliance and Client Services at Armor LLC, is an experienced industry professional with a passion for compliance. She graduated from Indiana University with a degree in Social Work, and has since been certified through the National Academy of Ambulance Compliance as a Certified Ambulance Compliance Officer (CACO), Certified Ambulance Privacy Officer (CAPO), Certified Ambulance Documentation Specialist (CADS), Certified Ambulance Coder (CAC), and Certified Ambulance Financial Officer (CAFO).
In 2017, Carmen co-founded the Compliance Department at Med-Bill Corporation, a full-service medical billing company. Recognizing the critical need for compliance in the medical billing industry, she later led the department in branching out to become the dedicated compliance company, Armor LLC.
Carmen's compliance expertise is highly valued by medical organizations of all sizes. She is dedicated to advocating for EMS and helping all medical providers comply with all relevant regulations, so they can provide excellent patient care and receive their deserved reimbursement from insurers.
In her spare time, Carmen enjoys traveling, reading, and spending time with her husband and four dogs.
Dustin Painter
Chief Privacy Officer, CAC, CAPO, CACO, CAFO, CADS
Dustin Painter is the Chief Privacy Officer at Armor LLC, where he has worked to modernize the medical record processing department and streamline patient and third-party access to vital medical records using proprietary automation and electronic delivery systems. He has also been working with providers across Indiana and Ohio for over a decade to help ensure their billing and documentation standards are in line with CMS and to provide training and promote HIPAA compliance under the standards set forth by the Office of the Inspector General (OIG) and Health and Human Services (HHS).
Dustin is certified through the National Academy of Ambulance Compliance as a Certified Ambulance Compliance Officer, Certified Ambulance Privacy Officer, Certified Ambulance Documentation Specialist, and Certified Ambulance Coder. He is also part of the ownership group for Armor LLC and has over 12 years of experience in the medical billing and compliance industry.
Dustin is passionate about patient advocacy and building positive relationships between patients and their medical providers, with a focus on the EMS community. He enjoys reading and exploring new technologies and innovations to keep Armor LLC on the cutting edge of medical compliance.
George Bogdan
Chief Compliance Officer, CAC, CACO
George Bogdan is the Chief Compliance Officer at Armor LLC. George graduated from the Indiana University college of Arts and Science with a bachelor degree. He has been working in ambulance billing and compliance for over ten years. George is certified through the National Academy of Ambulance Compliance as a Certified Ambulance Compliance Officer, Certified Ambulance Documentation Specialist, and Certified Ambulance Coder.
George is the founder of the Armor compliance program. He created the program as he noticed the challenges the providers were having managing their departments' documentation and compliance themselves. Currently, Armor has 30+ providers utilizing the compliance program to ensure they are maintaining compliance with Federal and State guidelines in order to obtain maximum revenue and ensure they are properly prepared in the event of an audit.
In his spare time, George enjoys playing sports with his kids, working out, and reading.
Heather Powell
Chief Risk Officer, CAC, CACO
Heather Powell is the Chief Risk Officer at Armor LLC. She is an EMS compliance expert, risk assessor, and auditor with over 8 years of experience in EMS billing. After graduating from Ball State University, Heather transitioned from a billing specialist and gained expertise in EMS compliance, risk assessment, and auditing. Heather is certified through the National Academy of Ambulance Compliance as a Certified Ambulance Coder (CAC) and Certified Ambulance Compliance Officer (CACO).
Heather completes audits for providers to assess their compliance with all applicable regulations, including Medicare, Medicaid, and state and local laws. Heather also identifies and assesses compliance risks, develops and implements mitigation strategies, and communicates risk findings to providers.
Heather is passionate about helping providers provide high-quality care to their patients while also ensuring that they are financially sound. She is skilled at completing audits in a timely and efficient manner, and providing providers with clear and actionable feedback. Outside of work, Heather enjoys spending time with family and friends, listening to live music, reading, and being outdoors.
